ONION AND RICE FLOUR DOSA OR ROTTI

INGREDIENTS:

Rice flour- 1cup
Onions-2
Chilli powder- 1 tbsp
Salt- to taste
Oil- for making rottis

Procedure:

  In a bowl add rice flour, salt, chilli powder, chopped onions. Now place another bowl of water on stove and bring it to boil. When the water start boiling remove from stove and slowly add to the bowl of rice flour. Add little little and mix well with a spatula as it is hot. Mix water untill the dough becomes tight and non sticky to hand. Dont add more water so that the rotti becomes tight and will be uncomfortable to eat. Now place a tawa on stove and add little oil. Take a ball of dough and press the ball evenly on tawa to form rotti. Rotti should be thicker than dosa. It can be as thick as paratha. Apply oil to the rotti and fry untill both the sides become golden brown in color. Remove from pan and serve hot with chutney of choice.
