POORNAM BURELU ( SUGGILU)
INGREDIENTS:
Urad dal- 1 cup
Rice - 2 cups
Cooking soda- a pinch
Salt- a pinch
Channa dal- 1 cup
Jaggery- 1 cup
Oil- for deep frying
Procedure:
Soak urad dal and rice for whole night or atleast for 6 hours. Grind it and keep it aside along with salt after soaking. Cook channa dal in pressure cooker untill 6 whistles. In a kadai add jaggery and cooked channadal untill jaggery melts and cook again for 3 more minutes. Let this mixture cool and then grind it in a mixer grinder. Now take this mixture and make it small lemon size balls. Pour oil in a kadai for deep frying and let it become hot. Add cooking soda in urad dal batter. Take the jaggery and channadal balls and dip in the urad dal batter and deep fry untill golden brown. Remove from oil Serve hot with ghee.
