ARATIKAYA PACCHI PULUSU( BANANA RASAM)

INGREDIENTS:

Banana raw- 1
Tamarind juice- 1 cup
Jaggery- 2 tbsp
Salt- to taste
Jeera- 1/2 tbsp
Green chillies- 2
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tbsp
Oil- 1 tbsp
Red chillies-2
Curry leaves-few
Turmeric- a pinch
Onions chopped- 1
 Procedure:

       Cook raw banana on stove directly on flame untill the skin becomes black. Peel of the skin and grind the raw banana with salt, turmeric and green chillies and keep it aside. Grind the banana little coarsely. In a bowl add tamarind juice, jaggery and mix untill jaggery melts. Now add salt little, chopped onions and banana grinded. To this tamarind juice make seasoning. For seasoning in a pan add oil and let it heat. Now add jeera, mustard seeds, red chillies, curry leaves and fry for a min. Now add this seasoning to Tamarind and banana mixture and mix well and serve with rice. No need of cooking tamarind juice.This is a raw rasam.

   If you dont like to cook banana on stove directly you can boil banana directly in cooker and do the same procedure as mentioned above.
