PANEER CAPSICUM GRAVY ( INDIAN COTTAGE CHEESE AND BELL PEPPER GRAVY)
INGREDIENTS:
Paneer - 250 gms
Capsicum
(Bell pepper) - 1
Onions - 3
Tomatoes - 2
Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Ginger paste - 1/2 tbsp
Garam masala - 1 tbsp
Ground nut
( dry roasted) - 1/2 cup
salt - to taste
Oil - 3 tbsp
Milk - 100 ml or 1/2 cup
PROCEDURE:
In a pan add 1 tbsp of oil and add chopped onions and fry until raw smell goes off. Now add chopped tomatoes and salt and cover it with a lid for 2 minutes. Then remove the lid and check that tomates are soft. Cook untill they are soft. Now remove from stove and let it cool. In a mixer grinder add dry roasted groundnuts or peanuts and blend it coarse. Then add cooked onions and tomatoes and blend into smooth paste. Now in a pan add 1 tbsp of oil and fry paneer and capsicum chopped for 2 minutes. Then add the above paste, chilly powder, garam masala powder and little more salt and cook for another 2 minutes. Now add milk to the mixture and cook for 2 more minutes. Now remove from pan and garnish with fresh coriander(cilantro) and serve with roti or rice..
