PUNUGULU (PADDU)
Ingredients:
Idly batter - 2 cups
Onions - 1/2 cup chopped
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Green chillies-1 chopped
coriander - 1/4 cup chopped
Oil -for deep frying
Salt - to taste
Cooking soda- a pinch
Procedure:
In a large bowl add all ingredients except oil and mix and make batter of pakoda consistency. Add water if necessary. Heat oil in kadai. When it is hot take small lemon size batter in hand and move the hand to make round and put it in oil carefully. In the same way add 6 to 10 dough balls and deep fry untill golden brown in color and remove from kadai..Serve hot with coconut chutney or red chutney..
